The MyWildAfrica concept is a very strong, yet simple one.  It is designed to use the combined purchasing power of the ordinary person, you and me, to buy, own and operate game farms and private nature reserves throughout Africa.  It will allow you to live the dream of owning part of the wild African bush, which people can visit, marvel at and like you, want to be a part of.  MyWildAfrica will also ensure that it plays a significant part in preserving the African flora and fauna for future generations, so that we don't lose such an important living heritage. That's great you say, but how does it actually work? In simple terms MyWildAfrica will work like this: It will be a membership based organisation That means YOU will have a say in how it is run Game ranches and private nature reserves that come onto the market in Africa will be evaluated by a MyWildAfrica panel and those deemed most suitable will be put to the membership The MyWildAfrica membership will vote electronically on which property to purchase and a simple majority will decide The properties will be managed professionally and the MyWildAfrica membership will decide upon the most suitable candidate for the job All the MyWildAfrica properties will have strategically placed webcams so that you, the member, can see what's happening out there in the bush - just imagine watching a herd of elephant coming to drink at a waterhole on one of your properties, while the flaming African sun slips slowly beyond the horizon All MyWildAfrica members will be entitled to a discount when staying at one of the properties. This discount will be decided upon by the membership and will be reviewed regularly MyWildAfrica will be a not-for profit organisation, which means that subscriptions and income from the properties will be ploughed back into the maintenance of existing properties and towards purchasing new ones OK, this is very exciting you say, so what's it going to cost me? MyWildAfrica is a membership based organisation Membership of MyWildAfrica will come through an annual subscription Each fully paid subscription will entitle a person to one vote on MyWildAfrica matters In order to make MyWildAfrica as accessible to as many people as possible the subscription fee will be set deliberately low The annual subscription fee will be US$60 (GB£40) That works out at US$5 (less than GB£4) per month Of that fee, we reckon approximately US$20 will be needed to run MyWildAfrica and US$40 will be used to purchase and maintain the properties So that's what the cost will be....
